The University of Missouri College of Business was established in 1914 as a senior professional school and offers a variety of curricula that emphasizes preparing students for responsibilities in business, government, and society as a whole. Its business programs were among the first in the nation to be accredited. The college was also a leader in offering the PhD degree in business-related fields. Many prominent early business scholars were associated with the college, including H.G. Brown, DR Scott, and Thorstein Veblen. The tradition of scholarship and teaching remains strong to this day. Mission Statement: Built on a century of excellence, the mission of the Trulaske College of Business is to: Prepare students for success in a diverse and global environment through a combination of excellent instruction, innovative experiential learning, and an extensive professional development program Conduct and disseminate scholarly research that impacts the understanding and improvement of business environments, practices, and innovations while preparing the next generation of scholars Engage top company executives, business thought leaders, and dedicated alumni to enrich our classroom instruction and connect our students Collaborate with campus and industry partners to advance the University of Missouri and its flagship mission.
