About
KADK is a higher education institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. A Rector, within the framework laid down by the Board, carries out the day-to-day management. KADK provides 3 main areas of education: architecture, design and conservation, spread across 7 departments. KADK wishes to be internationally recognised as the leading Nordic academy within the fields of architecture, design and conservation. Our mission is to produce graduates and knowledge to shape our future, society and cultural heritage, springing from a unique match between reseach, practice and artistic research. This should happen in an international campus environment with workshops, drawing board teaching and project-based education.KADK’s graduates should be characterised by their awareness of how a special Nordic approach to form can be developed and transformed into new contexts. We want our graduates to enter the world with analytical, methodical and artistic skills, which empowerthem to create, transform and preserve the society and culture of tomorrow.
