Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) offers eight (8) Programs of Undergraduate Study at its eight (8) Departments. Undergraduate studies have a duration of eight (8) semesters (four years) which correspond to, at a minimum, 240 ECTS credits. Each academic year is divided into two (2) semesters, the fall and the spring one. Depending on their choices of elective courses, students acquire a specialization in specific scientific fields according to their academic interests. Undergraduate students are accepted after a successful nation-wide entrance examination. On the average, only one out of seven candidates is admitted. In some departments the competition is even higher. AUEB departments traditionally accept the candidates with the highest scores in the entrance exams.
