Centre for International Mobility (CIMO)

CIMO is an expert organization in international mobility and co-operation. We provide reliable information on internationalisation as a phenomenon and the many concrete possibilities that it offers. The information we collect and produce serves to enrich public debate regarding internationalisation: we provide new points of view and help to analyse issues and phenomena more deeply. Co-operation is the cornerstone of our work. We help people and communities connect and achieve their goals together by offering exchange, trainee and scholarship programmes that support international activities in organisations. These include programmes funded by the EU, the Nordic Council of Ministers as well as the Government of Finland. In the field of education, our programmes support schools’ and educational institutions’ networking and international projects. We create opportunities for increasing skills and expertise through exchange periods for pupils, students and educational staff. We also support activities outside the school, where young people’s international experience and citizenship skillsincrease through their own activity in projects they plan and implement themselves, together with young people from other countries.
