As well as courses taught in Spanish for international students, the Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología, Costa Rica, (ULACIT) offers three bachelor’s degrees taught in English:
- Bilingual business administration
- Bilingual international relations
- English teaching and translation
ULACIT offers approximately 650 courses in mathematics, the humanities, technology and English. Browse programs here.
Interested students will need to provide their high school certificate, a completed copy of the university’s online form, as well as a photocopy of your ID or passport. For short-term semester abroad programs, you would also need a transcript of your grades and valid insurance.
Average tuition fees for short study-abroad programs at ULACIT are around US$2,315 per term, excluding housing, but tuition fees for actual degrees at ULACIT may vary depending on the program.
According to Costa Rican law, private universities cannot receive special funding from external organizations, but the university has “private sponsors” that collaborate with underprivileged students who cannot afford college. Sponsors may cover around 50% of students living expenses.
