Western Michigan University (WMU) offers more than 160 undergraduate degree programs, including nationally recognized aviation, business, engineering and fine arts programs. WMU shapes academic programs so that graduates are attractive job applicants and can immediately add value to their workplaces and community. Within three months of graduation, 91% of alumni are employed, engaged in military service or full-time volunteer work, or continuing their education.

The Diether H. Haenicke Scholarship is a merit-based, annual award designed specifically for international students at WMU. The award is automatically determined upon admission based on cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) on a four-point scale.
